Mission Committee

"The church exists by mission
as fire exists by burning."

– Emil Brunner

Plymouth's Mission Committee is responsible for directing our national and international mission efforts, which include Our Church's Wider Mission , Bread for the World , One Great Hour of Sharing , sponsorship of two children at Rawdat El Zuhur School in East Jerusalem, an annual mission trip to the Navajo nation, and the annual Alternative Giving Fair (coming on November 21, 2010).

For 200 years, our denomination has been involved in international mission, leading the way as the first international missionary organization in the United States. The short video below gives you a taste!

We are also proud to be the home of Tom and Paula Dille, who have spearheaded the Dille-Dunbar Fund within our UCC/Disciples of Christ Global Ministries , which is building girls schools in Angola. Watch the video below to learn more about the project, and contact the church office at 970-482-9212 to find out how you can help.

Plymouth is also proud to be the church home for Claire Thomas-Duckwitz and Mike Duckwitz.  Claire and Mike are dedicated to providing educational opportunities to children who are underprivileged and/or have disabilities in Central America.  Find out more about their work at their United in Service Latin America website.
