Let's think outside the box! What are some (exciting/interesting) worship themes for the summer?
  • Our identity… what people think we are … teacher? caregiver? chef? cosmetologist? fire fighter? attorney? What profoundly  determines who we are is how we relate, interact and treat others. 
  • Coping with artificial intelligence.
  • The opposite of "poverty" is "enough."
  • Re-wilding our yards to provide for the pollinators. 
  • Bloom and grow, or dry up and wither away.

  • Spring Creek Park on South Lemay near the tall golf nets on the east. The park is on the west.
  • There's Fossil Creek Dog ?? park on Lemay just south of a street called Southridge guy Greens. It's is off-leash. The dog park is on the west side of the street.

Did you take home any books from the youth book sale? Was one a “find”?
  • No I did not. 
  • I am an avid reader who  contributed lots of wonderful books and didn't allow myself to bring more home.  :)
  • Yes, I took home books from the book sale. One of the finds was a Maisie Dobbs mystery that I hadn’t read.  😊

What was your favorite part of the Easter service this year?
  • So many smiling faces.
  • The brass!!!!!
  • The sermon and the singing!
  • I loved Hal's thoughtful sermon, the brass and other music offerings, and the beautiful crowd at 9:00. What a service!
  • The Sunday 9am was remarkable with close to 300 people in the house. The energy palpable. 
  • The sweet bell choir music!
  • Seeing so many people come to celebrate Easter at Plymouth. The communion line was like a clown car -- celebrants just kept coming down the aisle!! :-) Awesome!!
  • Happy children.
  • Brooklyn’s Children’s Time. Totally engaging for everyone.
  • The sermon by Hal.
  • It was a unique and accepting Bible lesson speaking to us now!
  • Two things: the many musicians, the message of the sermon
  • My son came! Also the sermon and the special music. 
  • I love the brass choir.
  • Hal’s exemplary SERMON on Easter Morning!

What is your favorite part of Holy Week?
  • The Maundy Thursday service (4 replies, including: "The wonderful Thursday service with the soup supper. Which I am so sad to miss this year. Will have to find one in Omaha.")
  • The music
  • I love the spiritual traditions of the week and time spent at Plymouth with my church family. Easter Sunday with family is extra special.
  • It is a week of incredible storytelling and book-ended with spectacular worship services. It really is a week for all ages!

Eddie Izzard just became "Suzy Eddie Izzard" (which she has wanted to do since age 10).

If you were going to change your name, what would you change it to -- and is there a story behind that?

  • I would change my name to Sophia Ann, Sophia was my mother’s middle name and for biblical wisdom; and Ann would retain most of my given name.
  • I haven't ever thought of changing my name ... I suppose it's because I like [my] name!??

If you could tell our incoming associate minister, Rev. Marta, one thing you love about Plymouth, what would it be?
  • The joyful feeling. 
  • I love how everyone treats me like family.
  • Our loving and total acceptance for inclusion 
  • I would not wish to do my life without the love and support of the Plymouth congregation.  They share one another’s joys and challenges and are truly a blessed community.
  • Plymouth is a very welcoming faith community.
  • Plymouth being an Open and Affirming faith family and our efforts to help the marginalized people in the community and beyond.
  • I love that we are living and working out our faith as a community. 
  • Activities like Adult Forum that keep my spirit nourished and my hair on fire (because they give me new ways of looking at and thinking about the world).
  • I love our active participation in social justice causes
  • Community outreach * all are welcome * social justice * we talk about the issues of our world and we address those issues i.e. we walk the talk

Super Bowl: Do you watch? If so, do you have any traditions (food, friends, etc.)? Do you have a favorite to win?

  • We have pizza and watch.  We don't have company because we walk away if it isn't a good game.  :)
  • Watch - depends. Fav - KC
  • Party time-!  We invite family and friends.  Have Lots of munchies and Chili at half time. Rooting for KC. 
  • I always watch, but I don't think the commercials aren't as entertaining as they used to be.  I generally watch with friends (unless the Broncos are playing; I usually watch those alone). 
  • Kansas City
  • We lived in KC for 30+ years...Go Chiefs! We usually gather with family and friends for the game.
  • The Chiefs!!! Chili!!!!
  • Watch for ads when my teams aren't in the game
  • Of course I watch the Super Bowl.  Go chiefs!
  • Not a football fan. Will probably go see a movie instead.
  • Only watch when the Broncos are in it 😞 
  • No, we do not watch the Super Bowl., Unless the Broncos are in it. And that's just because we live in Colorado. Otherwise it's just another Sunday!
  • I like to eat nachos and have a beer.  I want the Eagles to win.  This year I might go over to my son’s.  
  • I watch for the commercials.
