Thank you, JT!
On February 19 at 10:15 am, between the two morning worship services, we are gathering in the Fellowship Hall to say “Thank You” to the Reverend J.T. Smiedendorf! J.T.’s last day at Plymouth will be February 28, after serving as our interim bridge minister since October 2021.
Come join in a time of celebration and gratitude for J.T.’s ministry among us. We’ll have some cake to share, a card to sign, and a gift for J.T. We’ll hear some remarks from our past moderator Claudia DeMarco and a word from J.T. himself. Perhaps you’ll want to thank J.T. in person!
You may contribute to a free-will financial gift to J.T. by dropping a check in the collection plate any of the Sundays before 2/19, made out to Plymouth Congregational UCC and “gift for J.T.” in the memo line. You can also give online here (choose JT Farewell Gift in the dropdown).
We know that the time between services is filled with activities including Adult Forums and choir rehearsal, but hope that if you cannot attend this celebration, you’ll find another way to express your thanks and good wishes to J.T. as he embarks on yet another part of his life journey.
In case you are wondering, there will be a separate offering taken for Jane Anne Ferguson as she retires, and a dinner celebration for her is planned for Saturday, February 25.
