For 20 years, youth for change has been an important and impactful event in the life of Plymouth, our youth, and the Fort Collins community. This year, our youth have decided to support the Family Housing Network with this event.

FHN serves families experiencing homelessness. They offer a range of programs to serve families on the continuum from homelessness to housed; each program serves every family's complex and unique needs. Their programs range from light touch services to long-term support. The programs they offer are Resource Navigation & Case Management, Day Center, Rapid Rehousing, Overnight Shelter (Faith Family Hospitality), and Bridge Housing (Sherwood House).


Friday, May 15th at 6:00pm at Plymouth Church (Fellowship Hall) 
The church and the whole community is invited to join us for an evening of Food, Fun, Fellowship and Fundraising!

• Plymouth youth will cook and serve a delicious dinner including spaghetti, salad and garlic bread.
• There will be great guest speakers from FHN and from our own congregation.
• After dinner our youth will lead bingo with prizes and other fun games.
• Proceeds will go towards the Myrtle Street Project. (Information below).
• Family Housing Network is helping families bridge this gap from homelessness to housing. We plan to purchase 811 E. Myrtle St where we can merge the Offices, Day Center, and the Emergency Overnight Programs into one centralized location. This facility will house up to 30 people (7 families) overnight and an additional 20 people in our Day Center. The funds FHN will need to raise in 2025 will be 2.25 million dollars to acquire this property. Plus an additional fund for maintenance, moving costs, and furnishing each room.

Our Goals:

• We want to increase our own compassion for people facing homelessness through education and spiritual formation.
  
• We want to inform people in Fort Collins about the serious and often-overlooked problem of homelessness in Larimer County.
• We want to bring together people of multiple faiths towards a common cause.
• We want to do something physical to help: 
  • We want to raise money for the Neighbor to Neighbor's Homeless Prevention Program, a non-profit that provides rental assistance for people on the brink of homelessness.
