Christian Formation for Youth
We have lots of Ways to get connected:

Also, our weekly informational group text named CONNECT, goes out to parents of middle and high school every Friday. If you would like to be added to the list, contact Drew at 309-368-3725. or connect directly here:

Ongoing Programs
Introducing Soul Café - a new Sunday morning faith exploration space for middle school and high school youth, held during worship after the Time for All Ages. In a relaxed, café-style setting, youth reflect on the Sunday scripture, ask honest questions, and share their thoughts in an open and welcoming environment. Participants also help prepare and run the youth coffee cart following worship, practicing hospitality as an expression of faith in action while building community and belonging.

Connected Progressive Youth Ministry
|
"Connected" is an ecumenical collective of progressive youth ministries across northern Colorado who come together for fellowship, community, and outreach. Connected events are hosted by at least two different churches. Usually, we team up for lock-ins, laser tag, and other fun events. We also come together for service trips, youth retreats, spiritual formation, and more.
Most often, we partner with the First Congregational Church in Greeley or other UCC churches along the front range. We also partner with other progressive youth ministries in town, like First Presbyterian Church and First United Methodist Church. We love encouraging students to build friendships across churches and communities. If you have any questions or would like to hear more about this special ministry, please contact Drew using form on this page. |
Camping and Retreat Ministry
An important part of faith formation for young people (and adults) is breaking the rhythms of our daily lives and experiencing God in a new environment. Three times a year our youth make a pilgrimage to La Foret Conference and Retreat center in the beautiful Black Forest of Colorado Springs. This place is a ‘thin spot’ where the veil between heaven and earth fades away and you are surrounded by the Holy.
At La Foret, our youth participate in retreats and summer camp that are run by committed volunteers from the Rocky Mountain Conference UCC. We travel together to La Foret with adult chaperones from our church and join up with youth from across Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. It is a wonderful exploration of progressive faith development.
