Introducing Plymouth Text Connection!
We are doing something new and cool: we are adding text messaging to the other ways we communicate with you. We hope you will give this a try. Why? Because we are a church, a community, and a caring group of people. So, beginning in March, we are going to send out a weekly text that will alternate between wellness check-ins and fun engagement topics.
The purpose of the wellness check-in is to learn how you are doing (since we can’t gather), and helps direct pastoral care where it’s most needed. The engagement text is to bring the congregation together around your responses to fun questions. For instance: What are you reading? Are you spontaneous or a planner? We will keep these short and easy. After each engagement text, we will share an anonymous summary with the congregation.
Here is how this will work -- First, we need your cell phone number! Use the YES or NO form below to update your contact information in the church database, and to opt-in (Yes) or opt-out (No) of the weekly text. On March 17th, you will receive the “test” text message unless you have opted-out. Then, on March 29th, we will begin sending the weekly text messages. You will always have the option to opt-out -- but we hope you will not.
We plan to share the results of our first engagement topic on Easter Sunday, and we look forward to seeing everyone’s responses. Question? Email.
